Privacy and cookie policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
This policy explains what personal data Cibertest processes, for what purpose and what choices you have about it, including the cookies and the advertising shown on the platform.
1. Who is responsible
Cibertest is responsible for processing your data. You can write to us about any privacy matter at support@cibertest.com.
2. Data we collect
Account data: name, username, email address, password (stored encrypted) and any profile details you choose to add.
Usage data: the exams and tests you take, your results and scores, your position in the rankings and the content you submit.
Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and the server logs needed to keep the platform running and secure.
3. What we use it for
To provide the service: keep your account, save your progress, compute rankings and send you emails about your account.
To protect the platform against abuse, fraud and automated access.
To fund the service through advertising, as explained in section 5.
4. Cookies
We use first-party cookies that are essential for the platform to work: the session, protection against request forgery, the option to keep you signed in and your language and appearance preferences. They do not require consent.
On the sign-in and registration forms we use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people and bots apart.
Advertising providers may set third-party cookies in your browser, as described in section 5, and only with your consent where the law requires it.
5. Advertising
Cibertest shows ads from Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
Advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to Cibertest and other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, and out of other vendors' personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
Users with an active membership do not see ads.
6. Consent
If you visit us from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before using advertising cookies, through a consent management platform certified by Google.
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time from the privacy options link shown on the page.
7. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We only share it with the providers we need to run the platform (hosting, email delivery, bot protection and advertising), who process it on our behalf, and when the law requires us to.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is active. If you deactivate it, we stop showing it and keep only what we need to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Published content is governed by the terms and conditions.
9. Your rights
You can access your data, correct it, ask us to delete it, object to its processing or ask us to restrict its use. You can edit much of it yourself from your account settings; for anything else, write to us at support@cibertest.com.
If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
10. Minors
If you are under the age of majority, use Cibertest with the permission of your parents or guardians.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
